Smile Re: Worth going to a doctor?

Hey Sarz, You're right about my friends of course, the problem is that a couple of them have asthma, and I'm not as bad as them, so you see I feel kinda dumb telling them. lol, my other problem is that my Mum has a real aversion to Doctors *sigh* Of course, I'm over 18 so I don't need her to agree, but I still live at home, so it's going to be alot of trouble, oh well.

Thanks pantherwrestler, you're prolly right, and I'm a little worried, because I seem to be worse in cold weather, and winter's coming.

Re: Worth going to a doctor?

Hiya,
Maybe chat to your mates with asthma to get their advice - you're not saying youre as bad as them or anything you are just saying you feel unwell - sure they will be cool!

Been to the docs this pm (again but they were 30 mins late which was not good as my appointment was at 3 so I had to take a late lunch hour from work & it took way longer than an hour by the time I got there & back so I was in trouble with the boss so have to go in early tomorrow to make up the time) have now been given another inhaler - serevent. I'm going to be full of chemicals now! But am all set for Florida now - one puff of my new one & I feel like a new person - better than I have for months!

Its amazing how quick they can get you feeling better - you should go!! Do it for yourself!

LOL
X

Re: Worth going to a doctor?

Hey That sucks that your Doc was late, not really fair, I'd think your boss could give a little understanding, it wasn't your fault. Serevent? I think I've heard of it, isn't it a long-acting bronchodilator? That's awesome that it's working so well, and so fast! What other inhalers are you on?
Yeah, you're making me think it could actually be worth the money if it really makes you feel better!

So glad you're feeling so good, keep it up, k?

Re: Worth going to a doctor?

I'm also on Becotide 100 (which is the corticosteroid) & I have 8 puffs a day, Serevent 125 - long acting reliever & I have 2 puffs a day, good old trusty Ventolin which is the reliever inhaler when I need it & seretide once a day & to this day I dont know what that is or does but its a very nice colour inhaler!

If you go to the docs they'll be able to make you feel better very quickly I'm sure then you can forget all of this anxiousness!

Take care
Sarah x

Re: Worth going to a doctor?

Hmm, sucks that you have to be on so many medications, but at least they're working for the most part, right? Hopefully someday not too far off they'll actually learn something useful about asthma and how to fix it, lol, pipe dreams, right?
