You have to go to a specialist first and get a proper diagnosis, then you can most likely work with a family MD for meds etc..

Generics, diagnosis

Adderall does have a generic (mixed amphetamine salts), little more expensive than methylphenidate. I think most doctors are hesitant to diagnose add/adhd, you really need to see a psychiatrist.
