Re: PCOS and pregnancy chances?

Hi Emilycaitlin

I understand everything that you're going through. I did the clomid, the shots, and metamorphine and nothing worked. The met would make me sick to my stomach. So they put me on Avandia and that worked great without any side effects. I had ovarian drilling done in July of 02. I finally got pregnant in Feb of 03 and delivered a healthy baby girl in Oct of 03. It took us almost six years before I got pregnant. I think what did it that time was the Leterzole. I know that drug has worked on so many women that were trying to conceive with PCO. Now my husband and I would like to have one more. I just hope and pray it doesn't take as long as it did for the first one. I'm going to call and make an appointment tomorrow and we'll go from there. Take care and good luck. It's going to happen just pray and believe

Re: PCOS and pregnancy chances?

I just wanted to tell you that I am on my friends pc and that we were looking up some things for her when we came across your question. I am one to tell you that is very possible to become pregnant. I have a 19 yr old, had her very young, and I now have a 2 month old baby! I have pcos as well and I struggled for yrs and eventually gave up I did clomid and I even went 8 yrs without a cycle. I lost 50 lbs and became pregnant naturally. I wish you the best and wanted to tell you to hang in there.

Re: PCOS and pregnancy chances?

I have had PCOS for 1 1/2 years. I have been on the Clomid and the met to no luck of getting pregnant. The doctor just put me on Femera and I am on my second cycle with that. I have read alot the the messages and some of you talk about injections that have worked for you. One specifically named a HCG injection and I was wondering what that is? I am on a injection to drop the eggs. Is that what the injections you are referring to? Thanks for letting me know that I am not alone in this and that there is hope. I live in a small town were atleast 3 other women have PCOS. But they dont really talk about it so I dont really have anyone to relate too.

Re: PCOS and pregnancy chances?

Hi
I don't have much to offer you for advice or anything like that. I just wanted to welcome you here. I'm on metformin; I have been for 5 or 6 months now. We are trying for a baby...this is our first month trying. I went off BCP December 1st. I'm super excited
Good luck and keep in touch!
Sara
ps - how old are you? and what are your symptoms?
