Talking RAD001 and Iressa: chemo combo

Hi Group- Happy New Year!!!! I have a question for you. This month I am participating in a clinical trial as my second line of treatment for stage 4 NSCLC. I did my research on RAD001 and Iressa. However, I value much of the feedback from this board. Can anyone give me insight? Best to you... Tom

Re: RAD001 and Iressa: chemo combo

Hi Tom...
I wish I could help you, but my husband has SCLC so different type of treatment. I look forward to a post from you soon that the clinical trial worked well for you!
Take care,
Kim

Re: RAD001 and Iressa: chemo combo

Tom, I have heard of Iressa, but not of RAD001. Bud was unable to participate in clinical trials. I wish we could have, but seemed to either have had already too much treatment, or what they proposed, was what they could do for him already here in Evansville. Did you online research?

Michigan State University also has a really strong lung cancer thing going on. You might try looking at their agenda and see if you can find out anything. Good luck to you Tom. I have you in my prayers. Press on, be strong, and keep the faith....

hugs
Jan
