Best and Worst medications

Let's list our own personal experiences with medications.


Here's two medications i've been on.

Zoloft - A very calming pill...didn't help a lot but heightened my mood a little. My side effects : Sleepiness, vomiting, crying, sadness, fear of death.

Wasn't powerful enough so I asked for a new prescription. Doctor gave me...

Effexor - DO NOT TAKE!! I've had more problems with Effexor causing problems with my body than any other. Side effects : Sleepiness, dizziness, loss of awareness, loss of equilibrium, loss of feeling, VERY high blood pressure, significant weight gain, loss of concentration, degradation of overall health, handfuls of sexual problems including painful ejaculation, loss of sex drive, inability to achieve orgasm; loss of interest in activities, loss of social interaction, headaches, vomiting.

Been on it for 9 months. Looking for a new medication.

worst:

Effexor--severe migraine headaches daily, ringing ears, tremors and hand shakiness, vivid scary dreams, flat emotions--But worst--the side effects getting off of it are horrible! I had muscle spasms, panic attacks (no prior history of panic attacks), crazy scary dreams, brain zaps, feeling of disconnect with reality--it was a nightmare

Remeron--made me so sleepy all the time and made me gain about 20 lb. All you want to do on this med is eat and sleep. I never felt full, no matter how much I ate.

best: Wellbutrin (didn't notice any side effects)
