I don't know what happened, I hope it works out eventually. Otherwise, I think I'm taking you guys' idea and try something else.

After taking the Lexapro (10mg) I have not been craving junk food, or eating all the time. I have been drinking a lot of water and eating healthier and much less. I get full fast, and I was doing really good. I was having enough energy to go to the gym, and I seem to have lost 3 lbs in the last 2 weeks.

I am not sure it was the medication that did it, but did contribute to my eating better and excersising. I had not felt this good before.
Now I feel like I did when I just started taking it.

This is me basically. I went through tired spells for the first week. After that I felt great - had increased energy. I moved up to 15mg about two weeks ago (I'd been taking 10mg for six weeks). I just now am feeling tired during the day. I'm also wanting to sleep in, wheras before, I was always up and ready to go before 8:00. My appetite is HUMONGOUS, and I didn't experience this until I moved up to 15mg. I've gained 5 lbs. in the past two weeks, which has been good - I've always been slightly underweight. But, it's all in my belly. My doctor wants me to try moving up to 20mg, but I already eat so much as it is, especially in the evening. I also don't like the tiredness - maybe it will go away like it did before. I hope so because the increased energy is one of the things I liked about Lexapro.

Re: Lexapro = Always Hungry?

ok. this is my first post but i've read all of ya'lls so here it goes:
I went on Lexapro and it made me gain an insane amount of weight. I'm only 5 foot so it was not good. I tried the Wellbutrin XL Lexapro combo and that didn't do anything. I tried Zoloft and that was only a temp fix. Celexa didn't work either... it gave me intese headaches. The best thing that's worked for me is Prozac. I haven't gained weight and there are no headaches. That's my experience with these!

Good luck to you!

Re: Lexapro = Always Hungry?

Does anyone else find that they're gaining most of their weight in their belly? It wasn't a big deal at first because it was just a little pooch. I looked in the mirror just now, and it looks like I'm pregnant! I highly doubt that I'm pregnant, and even if I was, I wouldn't be showing at this point. I'm 5'2 and only 95 lbs., so every little bit that I gain is going to show. My scale still says 95, but I've got to weigh more than that by now, unless I'm just bloated. I have been having more gas and stomach upset with Lexapro. I hope it's just that. I don't want to gain 20 or 40 lbs. - I'd like to be an even 100 lbs, but I've got such a delicate bone structure that I don't know where the weight would go if I went much past 100.

I too have just started taking Lexapro. My doctor told me I would lose weight on it I hope so cause I cannot afford to gain any weight! I have high blood pressure and am taking Lotrel 5/20! I have only been on Lexapro for like 5 days now and the only side affect I am feeling is a nauseated stomach! I take my ad at night too and I get the stomach pains in the morning but I did try taking it with applesauce and than drink a glass of milk after and I did not have the nausea the next morning. I hope this ad helps me with my depression cause I cannot take it any more.
