Help!!

Ok, I have been on the birth control pill for 13 years now and I just came off of them 5 days ago and now I am experiencing quite a bit of bleeding. Can someone tell me if this is normal and how long it will last?

Re: Help!!

Hey there!! I went off of them a little over a week ago (after being on them for 15 years minus being pregnant twice). I stopped on the Monday night before Valentines day and by Saturday I had the worst bleeding since before BC pills. I read on this board that it is called a withdrawl bleed. Mine lasted about 3 days and now I am fine. I have had a weird feeling in my head kindof a headache but not that severe for about a week. I'm sure my body is just really freaking out. I definitley feel like I am PMSing. I also have back pain but that could be due to shoveling snow. Who knows. I'm so glad that I stopped. I'm hoping that I lose the 12 lbs. I gained since being on a certain pill (Apri) for the last two years. I will never go back on that pill plus I just read that a consumer group is trying to get all BCP's banned that contain desogestrel. My main concern right now is the weight coming off. We'll see.......
