To all who use Tramado/Ultracet beware.

Greetings

I am clean of Vicodin for 8 days I took 225 mg a day. Anyway check this out.
About 2 months ago when i was in full swing vike use my supply ran out. Wham, no pills. After 2 days of going crazy I decided to go to a doctor to get a prescription for any opiate med. The Dr. says to me I cant give you any narcotic script but I can give you Tramadol which is the main ingredient in Ultracet. She walks out of the room and comes back with a sample bottle of 30 pills I dont remember the mg.

At this point I am happy to have anything so I say thank you very much and hit the road. Now Im in full w.d. so i load up one these things and within about a half hour im flyin. I go back to my office because i feel good enough to work which I had not done in 2 days. I am sitting with my brother who is my business partner and I notice that i am really spaceing out, like really zoneing. All of a sudden out of nowhere I go into a seizure. although I dont remember much my brother says it was unbelieveable. It was so violent I pulled my shoulder right out of the socket. My brother called 9-11 and when i finally came out of it they were there.

They asked me my name and where i was and I swear with no exageration I could not answer them. They took me to the hospital and they took care of me and made me drink charcoal to absorb what was left in my stomach.

This is a known fact that ultram can do that to certain people. I have not heard of many people having this, but have heard it before with high doses. how many pills did you pop that day? did you take a lot of them? I am surprised you got a buzz off them as most people feel nothing but a small amount of pain relief, they don't give you the europhoric feeling opiates give you but they do help a lot with W/D'S. I have ran out of meds before and have used them and they made it so my W/D'S went all the way away.

It is also an addicting medication and is many, many people end up being addicted to those after they have come off vicadin. its more common than you may think.

That is so scary about your seizure. I am glad your okay now, and thanks for the warning...

i hope your doing well and staying clean!

I took about 20 pills and it was pure tramadol. Not ultram which is Tramadol mixed with Aceta. And man was it euphoric. Believe me I am no lightweight, I used to take 200 mgs of vike on a light day. The tramadol was very euphoric but had almost deadly results. It

Tramadol is what I was taking and I just went c/t off of them 19 days ago. I was too scared to ever take more than two at a time because I know that there is a risk of death if you take too many. Yikes! You were lucky if you took that many. When I stopped them I was only taking 1 pill at a time 3-4x per day for 6 months and the w/ds were awful. Very, very similar to Vic's and the other opiates.

Re: To all who use Tramado/Ultracet beware.

The Tramadol that I've taken in the past was 50 mg.. I did take them to help with w/d from vike's. The maximum dose of tramadol/ultracet is 400 mg. per day. I never have gon over say...500 mg's- because of the risk of seizures. Even at 500 mg. which would be 10 pills a day I felt very twitchy and lethargic so I can imagine that it would have caused a seizure. It is a drug that is known to cause them.
Hope your feeling better now
