Eyes burn...Allegra Question

I was told I had seasonal allergies this past fall and was given Allegra, Zyrtec.
My main complaint is that my eyes burn and get very tired when I go outside. Although, I think the pollen has given me a migraine today....

Is it possible to have only one symptom and it still be categorized as allergies? *I was also having bad headaches when she diagnosed me.

And does Allegra even help with burning eyes and headaches? I have had my eyes checked, I do wear glasses for driving.

Re: Eyes burn...Allegra Question

For some people, all they get are itchy or burny eyes with their allergies. Antihistamines can help, but I would suggest treating just the eyes with either Visine AC or prescription Patanol. Good luck!

Re: Eyes burn...Allegra Question

I have Dry Eye and pretty bad allergies. My eyes get really red, burn, feel gritty and get crusty during allergy season. Regular use of Refresh tears and allergy eye drops help some. Prescription Zaditor just went over the counter a couple months ago. I used to have a $50 co-pay for it. Now it is just around $12.
