Re: ER to OR

My personal experience with Zetia -- horrible stomach pains -- like very bad stomach aches. (not in the gallbladder area). It took me a long time before I realized it was the Zetia causing stomach pains. I have also been on Lipitor, but it did not cause me any problems. But I took myself off all medications since the gallbladder issue, etc. I have not had my cholesterol retested, so not sure where it is right now -- but I do not plan on going back on Zetia. I think it works great if you can tolerate it. Again, just my personal experience.

Re: ER to OR

Hi Lin, glad you're doing better. Yes, it seems like this part of the usa has had a great loss of gbs recently. I'm a month post surgery, and feeling fine. I kind of think it might be easier the way you did it. You didn't have to go through weeks of wondering and anticipating about it. in retrospect, that was the worse part.

As i said, glad you're doing so well, listen to what Harry said, take it slow. i have no problem with any food now and never had a "dumping problem" as many people living around me warned me of, thank goodness. In fact, i had more of aproblem with that before the surgery.

Stay well........stars

pyewacket, i went to SVH.........outskirts of Pgh.

Re: ER to OR

Hi, hope your feeling better.
I had my gallbladder out in 1993 and it was the best thing I ever done. I would fall to the floor in pain even if I just ate a hamburger. The pain was so bad. I went to the Dr. he said it was a hernia and gave me meds they didnt help. Went to ER 2:00am with severe pain they gave me pain meds sent me home. Was back in 2 days finally they did an untrasound and found 13 stones. The Gallbladder was out in 3 days and knock on wood have never had that kind of pain since.
Now if I could find a cure for gastritis I would be in good shape. My gastritis isnt near or the same pain as gallbladder so I guess I am lucky.

Gallbladderless in New Jersey
