Re: Help!!!!!

Try taking some Metamucil or Citrucel. Don't forget to drink plenty of water and you may want to try taking up some physical activity like walking, going on the treadmill, or jogging etc. Mineral oil can also help with constipation. Cut down on cheese and other foods that may cause your constpation to get worse.

Re: Help!!!!!

Hi,
I also read your other post. You should be checked by a physician. If you are having these symptoms, could be anemia, dehydration, as well as a whole host of other possibilities. Could one of your parents or other close relative take you for a physical? Good Luck! and Don't worry!

Re: Help!!!!!

Hi,
Are you not going at all? Or are your stools just really hard? If you are not going at all, try using a Fleet enema. If that doesn't work, you may need to head to a doctor.

If you have hard stools, try eating Fber One Cereal, which is actually better than oatmeal for adding fiber. And try Miralax. It is a powder that you stir into liquid. You can get it at Target. You mix it in water, juice, water, and you can't even taste it. You need to consume 30 grams of fiber a day to maintain regularity. A bowl of fiber one has 13 grams, so you are almost half way there. Broccoli is high in fiber as are leafy greens. Fiber tabs can also be taken. You also need to be drinking at least 6-8 8 oz. glasses of water a day. You are bleeding because the tissue in your colon is very thin and hard stools will cause it to tear.

Takae colace and also a senecot. One is a stool softener and the other is a laxative. Both of them will help you go in a couple of days....

But, if you have not had a decent bowel movement in the past week, you need to tell your Mom and get into a doctor. This could get serious and could end up being very painful........

Re: Help!!!!!

You should never use an enema unless recommended by your doctor. Many conditions that may cause constipation can be worsened by enemas, and it is not a solution for your problem, just a quick fix. Many people use laxatives and enemas so much, they train their bodies to only go with their use.
