Re: Lexapro is making me loose my hair :(

I am not alone I did research and some people have lost up to 70 % of their hair on Lex alone with other side affects which the website doesn't mention!!! This is horrible...It isn't helping me

Re: Lexapro is making me loose my hair :(

I have now been on Lex for 8 days. My mind is in a much better place, but gittery one way of putting it. Wound up and nervous. But I was like that before I started taking it, so I can't say it's the drug doing it. I have not had any hair loss, thank God, or blurred vision. Had upset guts at first, but it seems to have passed now. I want to hear that this nervousness WILL go away!! Did you have these side effects of other drugs? I want to add, I also am on a ulcerative colitis/crohns board, and a LOT of people complaing that the meds they are on, mostly Asacol, makes their hair fall out badly.

Re: Lexapro is making me loose my hair :(

Dawn,
I had to stop the drug, I lost at least 40% of my hair and still falling out..it's horrible ..It's been my 3rd day since I am off LEX and I never felt better..I am eating again ..But am unsure if my hair will keep falling out or stop ..Lex, done nothing for me ..the last few days I was taking Lex I had acne on my face that was horribly infected..Wish you much luck in taking the drug..I for one will NOT take it again.

I can also tell you I would rather have the Anxiety than feel sick and bald!!I honestly believe the only people who think they feel good on this medicine is the ones who believe it in their mind..until they look in the mirror 6 months later and notice the gain weight and going bald along with other side effects, then they are right back where they started ..sorry ,if my opinion may sound harsh ..but me ,I am living proof

Did it make you more nervous? Is starting at 10 mg. too much? What did you all start at? My mental state is a lot better now, but I am getting more and more nervous and can't stand it. Either it's too much Lex, or not the right drug.
