Re: femara

Hi, Im on arimidex..but I know of others on femara, the side effects seem to be just about the same with all three of the AI's. If she experiences too many side effects from the femara, she can ask her onc. to try one of the others. I was on aromasin up until last month..but I didnt feel well at all ,I had alot of muscle, bone and joint pain, took 5weeks off and am now giving arimidex a try...so far, for me it doesnt seem as bad..My sister in law takes femara, with very few side effects..Your mom will have to try them for herself and see how she feels.
Sure hope that she doesnt have any of those horrible side effects that you read about!
Please tell your mom that this survivor wishes her well!
Come back and let us know how shes doing okay?
hugs,
cj

Re: femara

I have been taking Femara since Sept. I started on Arimidex and had to stop it because it made me so nervous. I thought I was going to jump out of my skin. Femara is tolerated much better. I get tired and when I do, I lay down and rest. I also have awful night sweats...have to change my nightgown during the night. There are other medicines that can be tried. My oncologist is wonderful and very understanding.
