Re: Getting off!!!......multiple meds

Why are you thinking of withdrawing from your mental health medication? Two of your meds are used for severe depression and/or bipolar disorder, stopping medication that is needed without using a doctors advice is the same as playing a doctor all over again. Which in turn is the same as using. When we self medicate we are playing doctor with ourselves.

Talk to your psychiatrist first, if you haven't already? You may not have liked what he told you, is that it?

I am working with a pdoc.

If you can believe it, all this started due to a back issue that I went to my doctors to take care of last year, August to be exact.
I never had any mental issues in the past.
I am working to be pill free again.
If you want to hear my story, just let me know. But it involved many doctors who did not talk to each other.
Besides the 80mg Depo Medro shot that was injected into my spine, at any given time I was on Pregnisone, percocet, oxycontin, skelaxin, lexapro, xanax, clonidine, seroquil, depakote, Remeron, Neurontin, vistril, ambien, and a few others that I can't think of.
I never abused any of these meds and took them as described.

Remember I went to the doctors to treat a back issue

Nice huh.
