Minocycline side affects

Hello everybody,

I am new to this site and just was wondering if anyone had experienced the same as me. I have been taking Minocycline now for about 2 years and have recently (last 2-3 months) starting having some stomach cramps and thrush. I have also had diarreha but not all the time just really when I have had a heavy night or been eating junk food. Also I dont know if anyone could answer this as well but, can you get thrush from preforming oral sex on your girlfriend if she has genital thrush?

I am a 21 year old male if this helps anyone answering my questions.

Candida (thrush) lives in the mouth but is controlled by other bacteria. It also lives in the vagina. If your girlfriend had an outbreak of yeast infection you could definately get thrush from oral sex. An indication of oral thrush is a white substance on the tongue a that will not brush off while brushing your teeth. If this is the case, see your doctor for medication to clear it up.

I forgot to mention that any of the cycline drugs e.g. tetracycline, doxycycline etc. can cause outbreaks of thrush if taken for an extended period of time.
