Re: mornings worse?

Ask your doctor about getting a script for Zyrtec-D or Zyrtec and tacke decongestants on the side.. add Nasonex too and you should have your allergies bases covered.

Best of luck.
MG

Zyrtec is better that the OTC stuff you can buy. Alleegra is also better the OTC med's and there is a generic in it.. however the generic doesn't do anything for me.. i have to stick to my zyrtec.

Re: mornings worse?

Thanks so much, I will look into this. I have seen the commercials for zyrtec and wondered about it.

Re: mornings worse?

One thing worth trying is to elevate the head of your bed 4 to 6 inches so stomach acid does not flow up your throat while sleeping.

That is my case and source. I keep my allergies treated and sleep apnea in control and the GERD/LPR takes care of itself.

I do have food intolerances (along with mild asthma). For example eggs give me severe diarrea .. cheese, brown chocolate, orange juice, strawberries and red wine gives me bad migrains .. often if I eat icecream for example on an empty stomach .. I'll end up in the loo. I'm always bloated and uncomfortable by evening. I do need to cut out sugar (have one in each cup of tea and drink about 6 cups a day) but I crave sugar .. so can't see that happening. Now I have been on lansoprazole 15mg for just on 2 weeks now .. it has deffinitely improved things .. ie no more pain in chest and also when acid comes up .. it is very dialuted .. so no burning .. however .. I was rather dismayed to discover yesterday and this morning .. the usual pain again on awakening .. I get the feeling this is a spasm due to taking in the first fluid of the day ie .. one mouthful of water or tea and it starts .. lasts for about 5 minutes .. then I'm fine for the rest of the day .. most annoying!
