What Benzo works for you

I have been on Klonopin for about 6 years now, as needed. Usually I take .5 to sleep at night and when I am traveling I may take a total of 1 mg a day. There have been months where I did not need it at all. I have taken Xanax and like the immediate effect, but I have to pop pills all day long since it wears off.

To the person who said i t's like playing Russian Roulette, you must have never experienced a full blown anxiety attack where you feel as if you are dying or you just want to die. If your anxiety is debilitating and you don't use the resources to help you that is like playing Russian Roulette!

I agree with you whole heartily. I have taken antidepressants as well as Ativan for over 3 years. I am up to 2 mgs, 1 at night and one during the day. They have helped me tremendously with my anxiety and panic attacks. I no longer get panic attacks and those out of body feelings. I can actually speak in a meeting without feeling like my heart is about to jump out of my chest. I would rather take Ativan for the rest of my life than to suffer with the anxiety. I have not tried any other benzo. I am sure if you take them on a regular basis you can become addicted but taking them on an as needed basis is not as bad.

for me klonopin was the best. life saver! it is the longest lasting and the most effective for panic attacks. xanax worked to some extent, but as another poster said, i had to keep taking them throughout the day, since the effecta wore off very quickly. panic attacks are incredibly debilitating. whoever did not experience one cannot imagine the complete hell they brings. the fear is incomprehensible!

There is also another one I recently tried, Temazepam, I tired 15mg last night and slept like a rock

Yes Temazapam really knocks you out!!!!!!!!!!
