Re: Allergies and fatigue

I've had a blood test and basic neurological checks (reflexes, arm strength, etc). Other than that, no tests. My most recent visit to the doctor was on Thursday, when he prescribed the antibiotics and the Flonase. He said that if I wasn't feeling better within a week, he'd set up a CT scan.

Re: Allergies and fatigue

Yeah, your GP is thinking sinus infection.. kill it early and get out. I am suprised he didn't tell you to take a decongestant in conjuction with the anti-biotics and flonase. Are you seeing an allergist about you allergies? ENT? You might want to start.. GP's are goood for routine care and maintanence, but they always prefer to treat the symptoms versus find and eradicate the cause.

Sincerely,
MG

Re: Allergies and fatigue

Only have seen the GP thus far. If I get the CT and get the results back from that, I expect I'll go to an ENT or some other specialist.

Re: Allergies and fatigue

Spider - you sound like me! Been there, done that. Antibiotics, CT Scan, VNG, Allergist, ENT doc, etc. As of today I still have this ear fullness, headache and fatigue, with some dizziness. I will have to say that when I finished my 10 day dose of Avelox a couple of weeks ago I was feeling better than before. But still, I think there is still something going on.

The Allergist says I am allergic to dust mites and dog hair. I have been doing the daily snius rinsing and flonase, but still there is still something not right. I am seriously considering doing allergy shots. I have felt pretty "off" this whole year and am really getting tired of feeling poorly all the time.

Re: Allergies and fatigue

Have you had your thyroid tested? My thyroid problem begin with severe sinus problems and allergies.
