I am taking apri and i get super painful cramp like things, all throughout the month. and the first week of taking the pill i couldnt eat cuz i felt sick after, but now it seems i am always hungary-even after i just ate. is this because of BC or is it something else? and i am always tierd, my boobs hurt like crazy and honestly im umm...flatulant? that only used to happen to me the day before my period and thats how i know that its comeing, but now that im taking the pill its all through the month?? please say that this stuff goes away!! should i switch my brand of BC?? cuz the cramp things are getting kinda...OUCH!! but anyways thanks for reading and i would love for some answers!!! =)

Re: side effects from BC. do they go away?

Apri is generic for Desogen & Ortho-Cept. I have taken all. In my case the side effects went away after the first month. I only had swollen breasts. After years of taking them I had to stop cause they were causing migraines.

I was on Ovcon 35 for a month then Loestrin FE 24 fro 7 months and I am back on Orthocept now. This is my second month and so far the only problem I had was a 2days of migraines during my period last month but I think it was a combo of my period and hurting my back at the gym. Before I would have migraines through the entire month.

Your body takes 3 months to get use to them. For some people a bit longer is required.
