Hey everyone I'm going to my doctor in a few weeks and will be asking her to put me back on the pill. Of course I will ask for her opinion based on my health (nothing wrong with me- just her general opinion as to what is right for me). But was wondering what you guys like.
Is there a more popular one? I kind of like the idea of little to short period because sometimes i get really bad cramps. But I dont know if that's healthy.
Im concerned with weight gain and also I take Prozac.
Any opinions- suggestions i should talk to my doctor about would be helpful!
I'm on yaz and I love it. I've had virtually no side effects, but of course everyone reacts differently to birth control. with yaz you take 24 active pills and only 4 placebo pills, so your period is shorter. mine lasts about 3 days. also you might want to think about seasonique, because you only have 4 periods a year. it's perfectly fine to skip your periods and have shorter periods on birth control.
I had really bad cramps as well due to my period but most birth control pills will help with that.I'm on Tri-sprintec a genaric brand of ortho and it took my cramps right away. I love it, but if I had a choice of bc I would go with Ortho-Lo its more money but its the best out there. And as for your periods mine last no longer then 4 days.
I was on Leestrin FE 24 and I loved it exceot for the weight gain. It's a 24 day pill. I was on it for 7 months and the last 4 I stopped having periods. That pill is known for causing that to happen. I can't blame the pill for the weight gain cause I there are other factors that happened at the same time. I just know I was fine till I started it.
I been on Apri ( no problems) , Ortho Cept (backache and headache before period), Mircette (no problems that I can remember), Ovcon 35 I was moody but I did not give it the full 3 month trial like you are suppose to.
Yasmin has worked well for me! I originally went on it back in high school for bad stomachaches during my periods and very irregular periods. It completely fixed all of that and I don't notice any side effects! I love it!
