Question Chest Acne will NOT go away-HELP

Hey guys,

I went on acutane when I was 16 and my acne pretty much dissapeared totally for a couple years. A couple years later I started getting a few acne bumps on my chest/face but it was minor and no one would notice it. These days I'll still get the occasional acne bump on my face but it's my chest that bothers me! The acne on my chest are persistent and will not go away and I'm almost to the point where I want to go on acutane again. I know this might sound kind of ridiculous but I am insecure about this kind of stuff.

Here's the thing however, these acne are mostly just red blotches. I don't even know if they're really acne. A few of them are whiteheads but for the most part they're just small specs. I have a very active life style and constantly run/go to the gym so I think it might be sweat more than anything. I try to wash the sweat off when I'm at the gym and always shower after I run but the acne isn't going away. I rub head and shoulders on it when I'm in the shower since I heard that's good but I'm starting to second guess whether I should really be doing that right after I get back from a run.

Anyway, the acne have been much worse the past couple of weeks. I've been in North Carolina for the last couple months for summer school (I'm from the north) so I'm not sure the heat is an issue (I'm not used to this kind of heat and sometimes I'll sweat walking to class).

I eat pretty healthy and drink about 7-10 glasses a day so I'm not sure what else I can do. I'm on the skinnier side to so weight is not an issue. What else can I do to get rid of the acne? I'd like to avoid acutane but it seems inevitable in the future. Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Chest Acne will NOT go away-HELP

Thats normal what happened to you.
I also got those red blotches after the body acne went away.
They can take months or even a year to go away.
I'v always had great success with Doxycycline when it comes to gettting rid of body acne.
The problem is when the red blotches are still there when the acne goes away.

For a body wash.
I recommend the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub.
This has 2 percent Salicylic Acid, Green Tea, Aloe, Chamomilla and is very good for getting rid of redmarks.
Its much better then the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash with Salicylic Acid.
The Neutrogena body wash did nothing for me.

When you get out of the shower.
I would then use Paula's Choice Weightless Body Treatment With 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid.
This is a lotion for acne.
Leave it on your body. Dont wash off.
This is very good product for getting rid of marks on your body when the acne goes down.
It has alot of good incredients.
2% Salicylic Acid, 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid, Green Tea, Flower Extract, Vitamin A, C, E, Grape Seed, Selenium, Willow Herb, Magnesium, Zinc Oxide.
