Re: Back Pain

Thanks for responding everyone.

Melody, I've been off rocephin for about 2 weeks now. My picc arm was starting to get sore. I also had all my symptoms come back after 3 months of IV. I stayed on for another month with no change. I'm in the process of
de-yeasting - so I'm off all abx. Glad you're doing better.

Re: Back Pain

De-yeasting stinkith...

Does he have you on Sporanox? That is what he had me on, and off all abx's. I could not take the full week of Sporanox, made me so ill, terrible herx. From yeast die-off or even maybe some Lyme...Who knows.

Did he say what he had planned next for you? I was to be on the Sporanox for 1 week, then nothing for a month then the Sporanox again for a week.

He seems real big on the IV thing. And I have heard alot of pros and cons about them. Alot of people seem to have everything come back full force once they are off the IV. Another girl on another board sees him and he is placing her right on the IV without much orals. I am still pushing to stay on the orals, I think I am on the right track, especially with Biaxin. I seem to do real well on it.

Did you ever double check with him about co-infections? I really had to push him to treat my Babs (which I did test positive for), I am on the 2nd round here, he only wanted to treat for 3 wks, and I know that is not enough. I seem to be making huge strides when the Babs is being treated.....Just a thought for you on your end

Hi Melody
Thanks for the info.
I was on sporanox but I was still doing IV's. I'm now on diflucan. He wants me to do this for a while then zithromax and mepron.
I was wondering if my back pain was from stopping the IV. I'm not sure. It does seem that you sometimes have to suggest things with him.
Good luck and glad you're doing better.

Re: Back Pain

Lisa-

Try and hang in there, I think you will see some great things with the Zith (which I cannot take) and Mepron. I know I did.

Yes you are right, he is so kind, but I think he is so busy that sometimes he just does not really look at the whole picture. But he has always been very good to me when I have suggested something. Thank goodness for the boards here so I know what to suggest!

Please keep me updated on how you are. I think of you often

Melody
