Docs dont know about abusing of vicodin. I dont know why he wouldnt give me anything. They gave me demeral the first day in the hospital the second day it was 1 7.5 vike every 6 hours. I was in so much flippin pain. This hospital just really sucks. I hate it.

Hey Kandr,

I am sorry that you are experiencing so much pain.

What type of surgery did you have? Did they do it laproscopicaly or do you have big incisions that are healing?

I only had a few small incissions and they started to feel better quickly. The pain was mostly in my abdomen.

When they go in there they move all the organs and what not around so they can get to the areas they need to be in.

I felt better in a week and was up walking around.

Hang in there girl! Try not to spend so much time focusing in what you do not have and try to focus on the good and positive things that you do have.

My 12 step sponsor is always telling me to Breathe through the pain. SHe has chronic pain and knows how the pain stuff can take a toll on us IF we let it.

I went to gyno today and he gave me a whole 20 vicodin. Really gna have to make them last. But Thats better than none. Im in alot of pain, at least I should be able to sleep now.

i am glad that you have something for pain and I hope that you will use them as prescribed.
It has been my experience that pain meds do not ever take pain completly away. So try to remember that if you pain is at a 10 being the worst and you take the pain meds as prescribed and it knocks it down to a 6 that is good. They may never make it go all the way down to a 2 or something.

Anyway just sharing my experience. I hope that the Doc thinks that you will be getting better soon and back on track with daily life.....Chrissy

Hi Kandr~
I was hoping youd call or go in and they would give you SOMETHING! And not ultram that can cause seizures. I had morphine pump right out of surg, demerol the second day and 7.5 percs the third day in the afternoon and then went home with 56 of those and a refill. Ive never abused any meds, and i thought that was pretty standard to go home with. Now i realize how fortunate I was. My OB is a friend though so maybe thats why.
ANYway....the gas is HORRIBLE after a hyst. or even a partial. Walk, walk and walk more...I kniow it hurts but it will make the gas go away. also try some Phazyme...It really helps. the gel caps.
Maybe and hopoefully you are better today so I hope this helps!
