Re: birth control

Well after being on Yasmin now I get closed comedones, some blackheads, and every now and then a whitehead. But when I am not on the pill I get huge cysts. So I didn't know if whiteheads and blackheads were more to do with bacteria and cysts were hormonal. I don't know I just wish I would quit getting any pimples!!!

Re: birth control

Ha, I wish birth control had worked for my skin. I've been on it for about 3 years (first Orthotricyclen Lo and now Microgestin Fe 1/20) and I STILL break out hooorribly before my period. Speaking of which, it's happening right now and I wish I knew of something to clear up my skin at the moment.

Re: birth control

When I first started taking birth control I used Ortho- tricyclen it was great I never had on breakout at all, but I had to switch pills, I changed to Lo Ovral, and I have a a couple of break outs every once in a while now. Which sucks, but what can you done...right? So, not all birthcontrol helps.

I've read that Ortho-tricyclen [B]LO[B] has caused many women to break out and gasp! accidently gotten pregnant.

I'm on Ortho-tricyclen right now. The first month was a little worse than usual. Then my skin started to clear up, but after 8 months I'm starting to break out again. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the pill. It might be a couple of factors such as the weather, my boyfriend's stuffy room, etc. I'm using Murad face wash that I loved at first, but I'm starting to think I'm building "tolerance" for it.

Anyway, my suggestion is do NOT use Ortho-tricyclen LO and do not use generic Ortho-tricyclen.

Re: birth control

hey guys...i've been on nordette for almost 3 months now and...nothing has really changed. i still get the hormonal acne on the chin/jawline pretty much all month, more so before my period. i'm on the lowest dose and i'm wondering if upping the amount in the pill (idk what it is..estrogen?) would help with my skin. thanks for your help!
