The synthetic thyroid meds are pretty much bioidentical to your thyroid hormone. Often times the binders and fillers are what cause the problems. And of course for some their bodies just don't take kindly to anything being added synthetic or otherwise.
I've taken
Unithroid for about 6 years and have never had a problem with it. I tend to be sensitive to meds and med changes. I also take a little Nature Throid (same as Armour different fillers) I have also tried Armour but didn't do well on it. I can't do only Nature Throid (tried it) because my body needs more T4. Though I do also need the T3 but only a small amount makes a huge difference for me.
Thyroid problems and thyroid meds are a very individual thing. Each person responds a bit different to different meds. What works like a charm for one may not work at all for another. If you are having trouble with a particular med it may be time to try another, sometimes that does the trick. A friend of mine did terrible on Synthroid, switched to Levoxyl and did much better.
Things will get better, you just have to find what works for you.
And remember, you always have support and understanding here
