Re: Calling A New Dr. now

Breeze - That burning feeling you have . My spine has recently started that burning feeling in my lower back . This is another sensation I have never had ? I hate to sound like a worry wart but I feel my spine is going through some changes for the worse and now no one wants to look at it.
They just want to treat my pain. I haven't had a CT or MRI in a year.
My last CT I had a bulge on my healthy L3-L4 that was never there before.

What ticks me off really is my surgeon before the implant decision told me about that bulge and also told me below my fusion was degenerating and wasn't looking good. He was planning on removing my hardware and checking this out until I decided to go with the stim. Now he's saying there is nothing more he could do. Grrrr..I'm ticked off ! I know why he won't do anything , he's moving far away and I'll never see him again. Maybe this new Dr. will look into it more ? I hope so.

Carol -- Thanks anyway for your help... Dr. Kang is supposed to be really good..The best I had so far is what some people are telling me ? Lets hope so anyway. I'll make sure to hold him down and really go over my films. If nothing can be done for my pain other than this stim and meds so be it.

GOD BLESS .

Re: Calling A New Dr. now

I called my PM Dr. yesterday to get a script of Promethazine for upset stomach , these Narco's make my stomach hurt and upset. They called me back and told me I would have to wait until next wed. because the Dr. does not fill scripts over the phone ?? Its not a narcotic so whats the deal with this jerk ? I hate this guy but can't find another PM Dr. to take my care.

I'm treated poorly by all Dr.'s I must have I'm stupid posted on my forehead.

Shawley
I really do understand the Dr thing. I haven't even begun my looking. I have to get this tyroid issue taken care of. I don't go to that Dr until the end of Sept. Until them ensure is becoming my favorite drink.

My Dr is still refilling my scripts so at least I am not in that position or the position I was in a few weeks ago when I could not walk and went numb. The Dr was out of the country and my old GP would not call me back. I ended up in the ER where hubby told the Dr off and they called another one and he admitted me. What an experience

The pain has been so much better since then but I swear if you run your finger down my spine I have 2 bumps that feel like a screw head. Beats me.

Shawley hang in there. Oct will be here soon and I have a good feeling about this guy maybe he will help you.

Re: Calling A New Dr. now

Shawley -I am no doctor but I swear after my discussions with my doctor that you are exhibiting symptoms of mechanical problems too.

When you are preparing to see this specialist, I would recommend you give very specific examples of when I walk, I have this pain in this location or when I sit, I have this pain, or if I do a bicycle, I have this pain. Also tell him what you have to do, to survive to maintain a low level of pain. I think I have learned that you need to give them concrete facts.

Hope this helps and please know that I care.
