need to understand

Hi,
im a 54 year old male who suffers from allergies .I have had a strange congested chest feeling everytime it rains.IT starts with my ears blocking up and nasal congested running into back of throat then it seems to sit in my osaphagus or airways not so much in the lungs but i get very weezy. it is just like it is in my tube then if i lay down it seems to go into my broncis, i get above average peakflows and i only use ventolin when these attackes occur, i swear it is something to do with my ears and overcaste weather. I am allergic to housedust mite, horses ,cows, dogs, cats and certain native plants my question can you have congestion in your chest without it being some terrible disease, my spirometer tests are way above average and lungs clear on xrays yet i feel restricted when i get these attackes. If my ears clear so too the asthmary feeling. also suffer rhinitis and hayfever, what is rhinitis? oh also dysfunctional eaustachian tubes. been to many ear nose and throat specialists and pulmologists who say that a lot of people get congestion , one more question my friend has emphysemia pretty bad and she never gets a flue or asthma, but her emphysemia was picked up on xray but her spirometer was normal any information would be appreciated golden_eagle
