Question after accutane help...

What products would you suggest to use after recently getting off of accutane. I've been through the cycles of accutane twice now and want to keep my face clear so I don't have to go through it again. Thanks a lot for your help.

Try a combination approach....

A retinoid topical (differen, Retin-A, Azelaz, Retin-A Micro, Tazorac) at night. All retinoids help in regulating the abnormal keratization of skin cells (when your skin cells stick together and clog pores).
Keeps pores open.

In the morning, use a gentle mild astringet like ***** hazel. Something mild. After allowing your face to dry and settle. The put on an antibacterial. Here are some choices (Benzaclin, Cleocin T, Eurythromycin, etc). A gentle antibacterial for sensitive skin is Klaron.

This idea behind this two-pronged approach is that the retinoid will minimize the size or the eruptions while keeping your skin's pores more open. As a result the anti-bacterial applied in the morning will be more effective because it can penetrate deeper into your dermis.

(It is the same idea behind the Proactiv method, just using different meds).
