Hi, What's the difference between Diphenhydramine which is the active ingredient in Unisom Gelcaps and Doxylamine Succinate which is the active ingredient in Unisom Tablets??
1. Which one will make me less groggy?
2. Which one is stronger? will help me fall asleep faster?
3. I've used Dipenhydramine before and I think it causes me a bit of rapid heartbeat, is that a side effect?
4. Will these medications show up in a drug test?
I know that Diphenhydramine knocks me out good.. it's the same ingredient as Benadryl. Yes, rapid heartbeat can be a side effect, it's not dangerous but can be annoying. I haven't had the other drug so I can't say for sure. Most OTC meds will not show up in a drug test unless they are specifically looking for it.
