on new meds

my rheumo put me on 3 new meds about a month ago. the flare-up i had lasted 3 months until i finally went to see my rheumo. when he put me on the new meds, within 2 wks the flare-up ended. i was still having pain everywhere, but it seems to be less. i wanted to know if anyone here had been given the same meds and they worked the same, or if this is just a coinsidence and the flare-up going away and my having the better pain days would have happened anyway?
the meds are...lyrica 150mg, 3 x a day...cyclobenzaprine 10mg, 3 x a day...salsalate 750mg x 2, 2 x a day.
i would love to hear from anyone that has been on any of these meds.
thanks so much.......bevann

Re: on new meds

hi bevann,
i think time will tell you if this is your answer. i don't think i have taken any of the meds you are on. i do know that we all find our balance and each is unique with bits that overlap each other.
if you are not having any side affects that bother you keep taking the stuff and see what happens. i have been considering lyrica, keep forgetting to ask my doc. actually, can't rememeber if i tried it yet. giggle. fibro fog or dead zone? who knows? tee hee.
must make a note. without my note pad i am lost.
i am so glad you are feeling better. nice feeling, yes?
peace and giggles,

Re: on new meds

Hi Bevann, I was put on Lyrica and it is truly a godsend for me. I also take Cymbalta, between the two I am doing pretty good. That is to say that it has helped about 85-90%. I can deal with that. I still am getting these strange pains in my ankles and not at the same time. It is when I get up out of a chair and put pressure on the ankle, or going up stairs. Started with my right ankle and now it is in my left ankle, I can still deal though. I was getting horrible headaches and they are almost gone, I would say 97% of the time. So for me, Lyrica is my miracle pill.

Re: on new meds

I am glad this drug is working for both of you. I have seen the commercial for it many times and am so glad to see fibro finally being addressed in public forums.

Re: on new meds

yes sunny, i was getting several headaches a day and sometimes waking up with one. they are better now, also. i still have the neck and shoulder, legs, and feet pain, but that's what i consider my daily pain. i have not had a flareup since taking these meds, also no side effects have hit me from them.
be well everyone.......bevann
