Thumbs up Just wanted to post my positive (so far!) experience with Yaz

I just started my second pack a few days ago, and so far I LOVE it!

I am taking it for my hormonal issues, PCOS to be exact. I was on OTC prior to Yaz. Even when taking OTC AND Spironolactone, my testosterone was a little high! Well, after only a month on Yaz, and my bloodwork results look great! My free and total testosterone were both in the LOW part of the normal range!

Other than that, I had NO pmdd this past TOM. Also, my skin and hair are significantly less oily.

I'm just posting this to encourage ladies that might be struggling w/high testosterone levels to give Yaz a try. No, this isn't a cure, but it's a way to treat PCOS symptoms.

HTHs!

Edited to add....

I am still on Spironolactone...I have to be. So I guess this PLUS the Yaz (and Tazorac for skin) have helped me.

Re: Just wanted to post my positive (so far!) experience with Yaz>>>>>>>>>>>>

Hi, I also wanted to post my positive experience with Yaz. I just started my second week of my first month (I know that is soon) and I can tell a big difference in my skin. I have hormonal acne not horrible but annoying and I can tell a difference already. My skin is not as oily. The best part is that it has started to help my excess facial chin hair. It has slowed down the growth drastically. I do suffer from PMDD and I am hoping that Yaz will help me out in this department and I can stop taking an anti-depressant. Only time will tell. I am just so happy with the results of my face!! I did get a little nauseated, felt tired then wide awake during the night and bloated during my first week, I believe those side effects are starting to subside now. Actually, those side effects would all be worth mentally and physically feeling better! I'll keep you posted if things change for the worse, but I am sure keeping my fingers crossed!! Hope this helps someone else!

I, too, have had positve results with Yaz. I've been struggling with adult acne for years and this is the only thing that has ever helped--and it started in within a week! My face is really clear now, probably longer than it has been since pre-puberty I was nauseated for a couple of weeks, have had some anxiety, and a few more headaches, but these seem to be subsiding. I tried Ortho tri lo, but it didn't clear my skin and actually made me lose a lot of my hair. Yaz is a great pill for me (although I can't vouch for long term--which seems to be a problem for a lot of users...).

As far as spotting and everything else wit Yaz it gets along with my body better than ortho tri cyclen lo or estrostep.....however i get the most terrible mood swings and depression and it is interfering with my relationships with people on a specific day of the month. also since i have been on it i have experienced migraines and many head aches during the inactive pills. does anyone recommend anything elsee?
