Re: subutex maintenance

very true about the provigil. I also have to keep in mind that I am still tapering so the lack of energy is also due to that. I have to be patient and trust that I will have energy eventually. I did the same thing, not taking it for a day. I didn't realize how much it does help. I can't wait until the pharmacies get the generic. I know it's out just not at the pharmacies.

Re: subutex maintenance

Fitz,
I just cannot believe the w/d's are so bad for you!! I just hate that and it scares me. I asked you in a previous post, how long were you on sub? I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. I'm just going to have to trust that my body will tell me when I need to take some and try to go longer between doses. I went back to the Dr and now he's telling me to go down 1 mg every 2 weeks. Maybe that's easier for me. I just don't know. Maybe I need to do it my way.. I don't know what that is either. LOL

Hope you feel better soon... I can see that you are a strong willed person and you can do it.. It just sucks that after all that tapering it's still such a bad w/d.

Best of Luck!

Hoped I spelled your username right this time. I went from 32mg to 16 in one week that I am glad I did. Stopped all of it at 12mg for a week and did not feel that bad, but I was taking painkillers instead for fibromyalgia(hydrocodeine). Then I started with 4 and my neurologist told me not to go more than 8mg. I still craved and went up to 16mg where I feel I am stable after a month to move to 12mg in one go. Provigil gives you energy and you don't have to take it if not needed and your body don't get use to it very quickly. It is a wonderdrug for any one going through withdrawal. Well, I think I was more scared of the emotional withdrawal as for the physical and then I should say that you should listen to your body when it is ready.

Sorry, can't remember if I asked you, on what dosage and how long have you been on suboxone?

Re: subutex maintenance

I am going into detox after xmas.....5 years of 5 percoets a day for fun....led a full life with zero problems...ate-worked-vacations, everything...was just part of my life. I had a dizzy spell from them and now I am scared and want off. But I keep researching and they say that Suboxone is addictive as well because it has a 50% opiode...someone with experience please let me know if thats true and does it help?! because even the expensive rehabs use suboxone to ease withdrawls!! thank you
