Re: Oxycodone addict needs a friend

How's it going today Bassmaster? Did you get some sleep last night? I agree with Grannyo if it were summer there are so many more things that you could do to occupy you time. I think if you were to get out a little more, get some fresh air that helps rather than being cooped up in your home. So how are you going to handle your dealer? I too am facing that!! Although my dealer is a pain doctor last week he asked me if I needed refills and for the first time in close to eight years I turned them down. But I know in the back of my head all it takes is a phone call. Right now I am in the middle of the cravings and depression, but they say it does get better with time. Post back and let us kmow how you are doing today!

Re: Oxycodone addict needs a friend

My son lives for fishing. It is the one thing that has kept him clean from opiates for almost three years. He had a short term problem with crack last winter because he didn't make it to Florida soon enough. He is now living in Buffalo, not a good place for a fisherman. He is coming home for Christmas and then plans on getting to Florida somehow so he can work as a first mate on a charter boat. It's what he does best. He's trying to save enough money to get there. Hopefully he will get there after Christmas and get a first mate job. He'll even work in a restaurant just to be in the warm weather. I think he has SAD (seasonal affective disorder). Staying up here for the winter always screws him up. Fishing is his life. He is always happy when he is fishing or helping other people fish.

Re: Oxycodone addict needs a friend

I'm proud of you for standing up for yourself..of course your dealer is mad like you said he wants your money. You and I are in the same boat this depression sucks!!!! Hopefully it won't last long. Another thing I hate are these cravings.. they are driving me nuts. Hopefully they pass pretty soon to. The days seem so long and thats probably because I'm not "high" anymore so I guess I'll take one day at a time and be proud of that. I don't know if you've read any of Yoss's posts but he has a saying at the end that says KEEP ON KEEPIN ON and that's what we need to do. Good Luck!!!
