Excessive Mucus buildup.. Night time (HELP ME)

During the day I'm fine, it's the night time that is killing me. I cough excessively, have abundant amounts of mucus that I need to cough up and spit out all night. This has been going on for over 7 months. Tried Nasonex and that doesn't help at all. Mucus is white in color so it's not an infection. The weird thing about the whole situation is the fact that the symptons occur only in the night time. Once it gets dark I start coughing and the mucus builds up..

Can you please help me understand my condition and possibly offer some advice. Thanks

Do you run a vaporizer-cool mist- in your bedroom at night? the extra moisture will help loosen the mucus. Also, sleep with two pillows under your head, keep your head elevated. This should help with the drainage so that you don't have to spit out so much during the night.

Have you gone to the doctor and asked for something to get rid of this? Is there something in your bedroom that is causing this?

You might try Mucus Relief 400 mg or 600mg...from Walgreens.
Take 1-2 tablets in the AM and then again in the afternoon by 5 PM.
It might interfere with your sleep if you take it too late in the evening

It is an expectorant that will loosen the phlegm
Drink plenty of water all during the day. The way the medication works is to draw water from your system to help in loosening the mucus.

It is on the shelf next to the Mucinex. If you do not have a Walgreens close by, try CVS or Walmart store brands of Musinex. You can also ask the pharmacist at your what the store brand equivalent to Musinex. Store brands are less expensive then the name brands.
