Back from the specialist.

Hey everyone. I just had my appointment with the gastro and he scheduled an endoscopy and prescribed me nexium. Beings that I haven't tried that yet. I gotta wait 2 months for the endo so hopefully this nexium does something for me . Cause I've only been suffering for like 2 months. I've lost weight like 3 pounds in less than a month. That's a lot for a 18 year old girl who only weighs 100 and stands at 4'9". Lol.

Also said that being on the amitriptyline for so long can be making it worse but isn't what caused it. Atleast I believe that's how he put that. He was happy I'm coming off of that though.

Anyways, before I start the nexium tonight, was wondering if anyone has experienced any bad side effects with it?

I've been on Nexium for 2 months. I felt a little "funny" in my stomach area the first day or two but that quickly passed. I am on one 40 mg tablet per day, and can take two, if needed. I find if I take a second one, my eyes become really dry, irritated and red so I try to limit myself to just the one per day. Nexium has helped me quite a bit with the burning feeling, the burping, and the acid taste I was experiencing a few months ago. I'd say I feel 80% better. I am also being more careful with what I eat so that probably has helped as well.
