Really bad after they wear off or I take it off

It's been like this with ALL ADD meds I've taken. Riddlin, Concerta, etc. After classes and I finish with my homework or whatever, I get really antsy, can't concentrate on anything, I jump from one thing to another, I feel irritable, impatient, restless and I shake and blink a lot and I can't relax.

Those pills messed me up so bad that now I take a children's medication, which is Daytrana. It released medication through your skin by the way of a patch. It's the only ADD medication that the symptoms haven't been REALLY bad on but it all still makes me all weird and takes a long time to wear off. I'm not even on a high dosage.

Does any one have any idea on how to just relax and not have these symptoms?

Re: Really bad after they wear off or I take it off

Msminnamouse,

ADHD rebound is what hound us. The only way I can beat it is to exhaust myself physically. Try some very intense form of fun exercise late in the evening. Some experts say that too much exercise in the evening can hinder sleep. Not for me. Knocks me out. Just what I want. Problem is ... I can't always workout every day.

Additionally ...

You might cautiously try a very low dose (5mg?) of IR Ritalin just before the Daytrana quits on you toward day's end.
