I'll give you a start and sure others can add on as we each experience some but not all. I started of just feeling like crap and felt tlike something was stuck in my throat. Sent to so many Dr's I can't count but here goes. Keep in mind that mine turned into the LPR kind continues. But as far GERD, I'd say:
1. Nasuas upon awaken. May continue thru the day.
2. Pain or cramps with D
3. Globus feeling of something being in your throat
4. Scared to eat afraid it will get stuck
5. Chest Tightness & Throat
6. Painful Heartburn
7. Too much mucus in your throat
8. Hoarsness. Espcially in morn or through the day
9. Feel the need to clear your throat a lot
10. Feeling of lump in your throat.
11. Sinus problems if acid comes up high
12. Pain in shoulder or back area
13. Chronic cough
14, ENT issues if acid comes high enough
15. Fatigue
16. Heart burn eating food with caffenine (soda, wine, chocolate, mint)
17. Choking Episodes
18. Feeling of not being able to chew food enough for it to stay down
19. Dizzy or Vertigo

I have Globus feeling of something being in my Throat,scared to eat afraid it will get stuck,Chest tightness and Throat.Sometimes have Mucous in my Throat,Heartburn (not painful),hoarsness,clear my Throat,feeling of Lump in my Throat,Sinus problems (period),Cough,Ear problem,Heartburn after eating/drinking Caffeine and Dizziness..Dang!

i get most of these symptoms, have done for about three years now. i am on ranitidine to help with acid reflux but still i feel something is caught in throat and cough a lot of mucusie stuff up daily. What is GERD, is it another term for acid reflux and how is it cured?

I'm sorry to hear you are feeling poorly.I don't have Diagnosis of GERD,but from reading Coughing and Mucous are symptoms of GERD and is another term for Acid Reflux.
