Valcyte Anyone?

After almost a year of Lyme treatment, pulsing method...I am about 75% better..>WOO HOO.

However, have some lingering issues and my LLMD has decided to try me on Valcyte for my HHV-6.

Eeekksss...this drug has some pretty rotten side effects, not crazy about going on it, however, Lyme and all its fun stuff is bad as well. Not to mention the cost of Valcyte for 30 days was $ 2409.91!! Thank God for insurance.

Anyway, has anyone been on this and have you seen improvement...or have issues with some of the side effects..that is what is scaring me the most!

Thanks JoJo...I have high EBV and HHV-6. My HHV-6 is very very high..hence the reason we are starting right on with the Valcyte.

Interestingly enough, I have never had what I would consider "yeast" problems. Was very careful etc etc. I complained about getting this thick crappy post nasal drip down the back of my throat AGAIN, and this time my LLMD said YEAST.

So, I have been on Sporanox only this week and I have felt the very best I have felt in ages. So, hoping with the de-yeast and the Valcyte I will jump over the last hurdle in time to enjoy summer.
