Re: Hair Loss Due to Minoxidil

I went to see my Dermatologist yesterday.
I have many scales falling off my scalp.
It is significant after each night of sleep, I woke up and saw so many dandruff like scales..

She pulled a few of my hairs out from my scalp and scrape some of the scales for lab analysis. She told me the results had shown that there was no fungal infection.

However, maybe the use of Minoxidil back in Nov 2007 had caused it.

She diagnosed me to be suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis.

She had prescribed me with selenium sulfide 2.5% shampoo and told me to use it daily. And use Betamethasone daily on my scalp each.

Hopefully, I can recovered.
I'm afraid I might have permanent hair loss as a result. As this have been happening since I started using Minoxidil in November 2007 and it have been around 3-4 mths already...
