I take domperidone for GERD. It is in the same family of drugs but is not legal in the US. I have a perscription through a canadian pharmacy that my local doctor gave me. NO such odd side effects, actually none I have noticed beside maybe a bit of gas. I would switch. It also goes by the name motilium and is supposed to be much safer. Something about not passing the blood brain barrier.
In July 2007 I had a severe case of food poisoning that landed me in the ER. To stop the nausea and vomiting - they gave me Reglan IV -- they also gave me Benadryl IV - which the nurse said can help to counteract some of the more unwanted side effects of Reglan (she said feeling like you want to jump out of your own skin or the need to 'just get out of here').
It did help a lot with the nausea and stopped the vomitting - they sent some home with me and instructed me to take oral Benadryl with it each time I had a dose.
i began taking nexium and reglan at the same time. reglan at dinner and bed and nexium in the morning. but in the evening i would get horrible cramping pains. i stopped the reglan and they got a little better but when i stopped the nexium they went away completely.... still unsure which drug caused the horrible cramping
Reglan turned me into a crazy person. It made me feel like I didnt fit in my own skin... Stopped taking it and within 6 hours I was back to normal. Reglan is evil to me...
