I guess I fear going into remission before seeing the doctor because it's like taking a car in with a weird noise but it's not making that noise when the mechanic sees it so he's at a loss as to what's wrong. Since I'm not 100% sure that this isn't the bursitis, I want whatever is going on to be still happening so the neuro can actually see it and have a better idea where to go. Me describing it is not the same as him actually witnessing it. I really do think though this is a MS flareup. It's identical to what happened before. I did call the neuro and he's seeing me on Friday.

BTW, I've just started back on my Avonex today after being off of it for the past 6 months. I moved in September and I've been remiss in getting started back up since seeing my new neuro. I just absolutely hate these weekly shots and since I wasn't having any new symptoms I really didn't see the point. I know, I know look what's happening now. Believe me, I will not stop taking it again.

Chica, thats interesting that all this happened when you stopped your Avonex. Should make you the spokesperson for the board for all of those who are afraid to START taking DMDs..
Not that Im pushing them- but like most people, I have my moments when I am dying to STOP my Rebif, but am too afraid of the what if's...

I hope you feel better soon, and remember Neuros have seen it all, heard it all and know most of it. Hes probably going to lecture you about going off the Avonex, but at least in good faith you can tell him youre back on it.

I've always wondered before now if these meds really worked. One of those are you not having a relapse because you just wouldn't have anyway or is it the medication keeping the attacks at bay. Now, I feel more confident the meds work so I'll be be motivated to stay on the Avonex. Unfortunately, and I think this is the case for most people, something has to happen before you act. I'm lucky in that it wasn't something more serious than just a weak leg.
