Hi all,
I have been thinking I have been on every reflu medicine nown to man.. None seem to woek. I am now on aciphex for about 6 month and my dizzy floating feeling has gotten worse and have developed bangingm in the ear could the aciphex be doing this?? What I also wonder is my main problem when this all started was the breathing and nothing else since being on all these refl meds my symptoms have gone from bad to worse. But now I am in them almost 2 years. Everyone has been so helpful with my questions in the past, thanks all for anymore help.

Hi Chalupa,

It breaks my heart that you are still suffering with no relief.

My main complaint has been breathing problems too. I have tried Prilosec and Prevacid. Neither helped and both seemed to give me MORE problems instead of helping. Since taking them I now have heartburn 24/7 - when before I started taking them I might have had some heartburn once a week or so. I am still searching for answers too - and still suffering breathing problems (which are unrelieved by doubled asthma medications for the past four months and PPI's)??? It is so frustrating and much like you affecting my life and my relationship with my husband and boys

So now I not only deal with the breathing problems - but also terrible heartburn/GERD that never affected me before taking the PPI's when I went to my Dr. with the breathing complaints.

If you are not feeling any better and in fact worse - than I would attribute some of your new complaints to the medications (PPI's). Prevacid made me dizzy and gave me terrible headaches. Prilosec gave me terrible chest cramping.

Is your breathing worsening? Any new symptoms? Do you take any other medications for any other medical problems?

yes i take lotrel blood pressure med but they cut it in half since I have lost so much weight. I am also on synthroid for thyroid problems but i have been on these meds for a long time. I decided today to stop the aciphe and try just pepcid complete and see if the side affects go away. I am so cofused and my breathing is horrible.

Have you tried Gaviscon in highish doses, it isnt adsorbed, so shouldnt cause any side effects

How much can I take of the gaviscon and are you talking about the chewables? Can it help with the breathing that is so bad all day long. I am scared because I have been on ppi's for 2 years now to go totally off I no is not a good idea is gaviscon okay in replace of it.
