Re: MRI Results? How long??

Hi HHJ, Wow, someone I can relate too! I don't think anyone around me understands and my doctors are just frustrating me right now. I'm going to call the neurologist's office tomorrow and ask why they want to wait on the 2nd MRI that the radiologist is recommending and it is on the report that I picked up. I think it's terrible that I'm being left in pain and with these other annoying symptoms and not knowing what could be causing all of this until after April 17th.

Re: MRI Results? How long??

big thing here,NEVER assume that 'no news is good news.it can come back to bite you in a very big way.start making some calls, like today and find out exactly what was found in the report.you just have to take matters into your own hands at times unfortuently.just because you have not heard anything doesn't actually mean in alot of cases that there wasn't anything actually found duringthe MRI.there could be alot of different reasons as to why no one actually contacted you.you just really need to follow up and find out what the deal is.you wont know for certain that everything was fine til you actually see that report for yourself.it is good that they did actually do the contrasted set while you were there tho.but you DO need some answers.

38,i would just push your primary at this point, really.you need answers now not later.that area needs to be better defined as soon as possible.since the first MRI was actually referred by this doc,he just owes it to you to follow up with the recommendations within that report.i am just thinking that since you are not yet actually the neuros patient,he really wont or cannot do the referral yet,you know what i mean?this IS your primarys responsibility to just do what is needed.if he wont, geez, move onto another primary, really.this is just so stupid.you have a right to know what is going on.i personally would push the heck out of your primary to just do the right thing,or move on to another who actually cares about his patients.good luck hon, FB

Re: MRI Results? How long??

feelbad....
I'm glad that you posted to never assume that no news is good news. When I got in my car this morning I turned on the radio, and that is the first thing that I heard the DJ talking about. He was saying never to accept that and call your doctor anyway. Then to hear it from you today as well....if I don't take those as signs to call my neurologist, then, well, I'm just dumb.

Mommev38...
I didn't even post all my symptoms, because I usually hurt too badly to type for long and there are so many; but I would look for the best neurologist I could find. Mine typically has a 1-2 hour wait in the waiting room, but that is because he takes time to listen to EVERYTHING the patient says, and he writes EVERYTHING down. I'm actually starting to feel better. I think that the Depakote ER has had time to build up in me. I do wish you the best of luck and health.
