The reason I ask specifically is I also have mitral valve prolapse so I have to take a beta for that. I currently take toprol but have heard that inderal may be better for anxiety, which I also have.

i take 25 mg of atenolol which is related to other two for mvp and also have anxiety. i would not say atenolol helps with my anxiety because i battle it everyday. they say beta blockers are really supposed to slow you down but mine really does not. not sure about toprol or inderal though.

Inderal works great. I wish I could take it. It caused me stomach issues. Now I am left with nothing to take. Dr said it's good for anxiety. It did help me. Everyone is different though. What works for me may not be good for you.

ibhel, hey i have taken 100mg to toporol for five years for anxity. this is just one of the meds that im on. I belive i would be wore off than i am now. it somewhat help keep me calm because it keeps my blood pressure down
