Cool wanna know about CoQ10 ?

i take vytorin 10/40 and 500mg of niaspan everyday to lower cholesterol wanna know? if i can take the COQ10 with it and would like to see if anyone is on COQ10 and if any side effects or benefits from it

Yeah, I don't see any reason you couldn't take it. I still suggest talking to your doctor about switching from Vytrorin to either Zocor (same statin as in Vytorin) or a different type. The latest clinical tests doesn't exactly show Zetia in a favorable light. But, that is up to you and your doctor.

Something that might interest you is a statin/niaspan combo pill. I forget if it's out already, but I believe they are planning one soon.

And only side effects from CoQ10 that I am aware of are possibly minor stomach problems or insomnia (if taken near bedtime). But these are rare, and neither have happened to me (been taking it for years).

I take 10mg of lovastatin and 500mg of Niaspan each night before bedtime. I take 60mg CoQ10 in the morning. I've been doing this for over 6 months now with no side affects other than a good lipid profile.

thanks my vitamin d test came back normal so that rules out that why my hdl might be low so i am pondering on what else besides my genes is causing it to be so low 29 is were is at right now but i have input niaspan with it started at 500 mg 3 weeks ago and going up from that so i will see in may what my numbers are with the input of niaspan and vytorin together will do thanks god bless
