I had a throat abscess several weeks ago, which was lanced and cleaned and then treated with CLINDAMYCIN 300 mg capsules, 4 per day. I developed a very bad rash over my back, stomach, and upper legs after about 6 or 7 days and the pills were stopped.
Since then, I have had phlem, I guess from the healing abscess, every 4 to 6 hours or so, some laced with blood or colore red. I also have very poor appetite. I also have little energy.
My main question is "how long am I likely to keep producing phlem"? I would also like to get my normal appetite and energy back.
Would appreciate any comments.
Athough an abscess normally occurs in young people, I am actually past 60.
