Are there any new drugs, treatments for Parkinson's disease?

I see you are from Rochester - are you seeing docs at U of R Neurology. I see Dr B there.

What meds/suppliments are you using

My understanding is that the "newest" standard theories are to start with the dopamine agnosts(sp?) to help the body make more dopamine and Azilect to use it more efficiently. I saw a quick improvemnt with Requip, the Azilect is more subtle but the doc says there is some possible evidence of it delaying progression.

I bought some coq10(?) but haven't reallytried it - the doc says no firm evidence there.

angel14617, could you let the rest of us know what that new treatment is for Parkinson's, my male companion, has parkinson's, and I am looking for any good news to give to him. He is in terrible shape with a lot of pain, and bad muscles. Please send us any new information you have and the supplement that you say you have found.
