It sounds as if you have had the week from he**. I am so sorry about your recent diagnoses. I can't imagine what you're going through.
Does your GI doctor know how much worse your GERD has gotten since you started taking
Asacol? Your rheumatologist and GI doctor are going to have to get together to figure out the best way to treat both conditions while keeping the GERD at bay. Perhaps you would be able to combine two different classes of GERD meds for more effective relief--such as a proton-pump inhibitor and an antacid. Or maybe there's something else you can take for the ulcerative colitis.
