Too young for Flovent?

My 2 year old daughter was taken off of Pulmicort April 1st after 6 months of being symptom-free. She had an asthma flare up with an ear infection two weeks ago. We were in the ER and it took two long breathing treatments for the wheezing to stop. Then came another week of Orapred. (Her 3rd time in less than a year.) The specialist we saw this week suggested Flovent once a day with a spacer. I thought the nebulizer was always best for toddlers. I am also reading of weird side effects with Flovent, but I realize every child is different when it comes to side effects. Does anyone have a child on Flovent that can share experiences?

Re: Too young for Flovent?

I don't know if that is too young but we have an appt with a pulmonary dr at the end of June and our little guy will be 13 months old and our ped thinks this dr will switch us from pulmicort twice a day to flovent with the spacer/inhaler.

I have heard of others younger than 2 on flovent.
