Panic attack symptom: burning back...Please answer!

Has anyone experienced burning sensation that radiates up your back when you are having a panic attack? I went off my Lexapro for two weeks and now I am back on the med. But I am waking with morning panic with racing heartbeat and burning sensation on my back. Pop some Ativan and it calms down. I am wondering how long it will take for the Lexapro to get back to normal levels and the panic attacks to go away. PLEASE, if anyone has experienced this particular symptom, answer. Thanks!

Yes I have had the same sensation some years ago while driving on a couple of occasions, I felt like I was on fire, it was winter and I had the ac on and windows down and it still wouldn't go away, it was also in my chest. Just the other night I was sitting here and my chest and face started burning so bad. I believe it is just yet another symptom of anxiety. I hope your meds will kick in again soon. Me on the other hand am afraid to start my meds and suffering from disabling anxiety at the moment, trembling all over, weird headed, anxious, all kinds of things. Wish you the best!

It is quite usual to have burning to face, neck back. I had full burn on my chest that was severe and all it was was anxiety. I was on serzone at one point in my life that it caused burning on my neck and tongue but this med isnt in production anymore

Thanks for your responses. Worrybucket, I am post menopausal so it's not necessarily a sign of that. Those waking symptoms have abated some, tho not all gone. I, too was on Serzone couple yrs. ago and it did nothing for anxiety.....but it really made me feel depersonalized. Glad it's off the market.
